A Room With A View
This large country house in Sandhurst had not been decorated in many years, but now had new owners who wanted to renovate. This master bedroom required extensive preparation work. The wallpaper from the previous century was stripped off and the walls received a lot of attention prior to hanging the initial lining paper, in preparation of a block painted Farrow & Ball wallpaper.
The existing bespoke units were sanded smooth and repaired where necessary. These were finished in Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell. The window frames, skirting boards, doors and frames were also finished in Farrow & Ball, but in Strong White, a lighter contrasting colour. Ceilings were thoroughly prepared, and skimmed prior to applications of Farrow & Ball Strong White Estate Emulsion.
The following slides give you an idea of the initial stages of preparation, the painting involved and the hanging of the block painted wallpaper.
