This elegant rear hall, stairs and landing would have originally have been used by the serving staff in this large country house, built in 1860.
Finished in Farrow & Ball Manor House Grey, the original wallpaper was steamed off, before new lining paper was hung. The lining paper also acts as an extra layer of insulation and the severity of the sound reflecting off the walls.
The previously stained bannisters were thoroughly prepared, primed and undercoated, ready for a finish of Farrow & Ball Strong White Estate Eggshell.
